Panzer III Light Spitfire Tank SolidWorks, 3D Exported
The first Spitfire tank (Panzerflammwagen) officially named by the German army was the Panzerflammwagen II (Flamm) (abbreviated as Panzer II(F), vehicle number Sd.Kfz.122), which was improved from the Pz.Kpfw.II light tank. Its birth can be traced back to January 1939, when the German Ministry of Army Armaments instructed MAN and Daimler-Benz to cooperate in developing a Spitfire tank, with the former responsible for the chassis part and the latter for the upper hull and turret. Soon, the two companies worked together to complete the prototype and sent it to the Ministry of War for testing.
